Richmond Hill {Couples} Photographer I Katie, Dusty & Miss Beretta

Katie contacted me a month ago looking for a couples photographer. Katie was introduced to my work through a military spouse support page and fell in love with my images.  I was so upset to tell her that I did not know when I could possibly work her in as my calendar is booked until the Spring.  Later that same day I received a touching email from my dear friend and client Susan.  Susan was scheduled for a family session this fall and really felt moved to forgo their session so that I could open up my calendar to a military family on my wait list.  Here is what Susan wrote…

Your post tonight about the family you photographed tonight brought tears to my eyes! It breaks my heart to think there are Military families out there who want to have family photos done by you and can’t because you are booked. I know you feel the same. I know you work as hard as you can and give all you have…you are just so good at what you do and it shows! My reason for writing you tonight is that we have a session coming up in a few weeks…I would like to give our slot to a deserving Military family that is on your waiting list. We can wait. But I want it to be Military…
Yes, I am sure I want to do this..

I knew at that moment that something special would be taking place.  I quickly messaged Katie back and told her that not only did one of my clients reschedule her family session to the Spring, but that I would be glad to offer her a complimentary Sweet Peony Couples Session.  Katie was overjoyed and so excited because they had never had professional photos taken together.  On May 11th of this year Katie and Dusty were married and their friends and family took the pictures that day and for their engagements there at the family home.  This session is special as it documents all the love they have for one another in their hearts and also the addition of their first furry child, Beretta whom they rescues on July 20th.  We chose to shoot at sunrise at a secluded location on the marsh in Richmond Hill and the gifts of God’s creation that met us there were nothing less than beautiful!  Here are some of my favorites from their session.
