Three years ago I met Morgann and Brenden when I was asked to photograph their darling daughter Lucy’s sweet newborn session. Over the last three years I have not only continued to capture all of the most important family milestones but have also cherished a beautiful friendship that has grown from our client/photographer relationship. I was over the moon when I got the call that this wonderful family was going to have a third and precious baby to love. Morgann was expected to welcome a precious son this October. 8 days ago, Morgann’s water broke and she was immediately admitted to the hospital. Hoping for at least two more weeks we all began to pray for Baby Carson. Unexpectedly, yesterday morning Carson’s care team decided it was time for him to make his grand entrance. At 12:25pm Mister Carson Ryan was born! At just 32 weeks gestation he came out screaming, breathing on his own and with red hair. Carson was perfect at 4 lbs. 11 oz.and 17 3/4 in length. What a blessing for Carson to be healthy.

Later yesterday afternoon, Morgann and Brenden learned that Carson would be in the NICU for a couple weeks. This was still great news as other than respiratory distress syndrome in its mildest form was the only downfall to Morgann’s two month early delivery. Carson is doing fabulous this afternoon. He is on just a little oxygen only to aid in support while his lungs continue to mature. He will be monitored for the next couple weeks but its fully expected that when his lungs finish maturing he will go home happy and healthy with no major side effects of being born prematurely.

It is my sincerest honor to give my time and talents daily throughout this journey. It was so awesome meeting Carson this morning and taking his very first photographs. I love him so much and cannot wait to capture all of his milestones in the year and years to come just like I have with his big sister Lucy and big brother Jeffrey. I am blessed to serve this wonderful family and thankful for their friendship. Please continue to pray for Baby Carson, his amazing parents and his siblings who have not been able to meet him yet.

Historic Savannah, GA {Child} Photographer

On June 1st, 2013 I met the most beautiful baby girl in the land.  Miss Caydence Grace became a Sweet Peony baby at just 6 months old.  There have been 4 beautiful sessions since June 2013; 6 month portrait session, 1st birthday mommy & me session, 2nd Birthday family session and now this beautiful 3rd Birthday session.  I am so incredibly blessed to have the loyalty that this family has showed to myself and my business.  The Workman’s make the 120 mile (one-way) trip from St. Mary’s every year to enjoy the benefits of sunrise sessions with me in Savannah.  I look forward to meeting halfway next Summer for their first family beach session in the beautiful Golden Isles.  Enjoy this peak into Miss C’s 3rd birthday session in beautiful Historic Savannah. Cay1cay2cay3cay4cay5cay6cay7cay8cay9

Historic Guyton, GA {Wedding} Photographer Alex & Kim’s Wedding

On Saturday, the 16th of May at Woodlawn Plantation and Gardens in Guyton, Georgia, I had the incredible honor and privilege of photographing Kim and Alex’s Wedding! This entire plantation is full of history and southern charm. Designed, planted and maintained by Alan Watson, the property features Southern garden favorites and whimsical, unique blooms that are sure to lure guests to stop and enjoy all that the property has to offer.

I get a misty eyed remembering the moment when Alex first laid his eyes upon his blushing bride in her gorgeous gown chosen just for him. This wedding was truly one of the most spectacular days I have ever captured!
